We have enjoyed the activities in Unit 4 and Audrey’s reading fluency has grown tremendously. I am amazed at how fluid she has become since we started this Ready2Read Program. I am so happy with the results and I hope that your child/children/students are experiencing success as well!!

We started with our color by number sight word flashcards….
We sang our sight word songs to the tune of B-I-N-G-O
(song sheet can be found in Unit 1)
Our course Audrey had to use a princess wand for her pointing stick:)

Then we made sentences out of our sight words!! This was a blast and Audrey was amazed at how many sentences she could make just from sight words!!! We put magnets on the back of the sight words and used our cookie sheet.
We colored our sight word caterpillar. Can you believe that we already have 20 circles!!! AMAZING!

Another awesome week of decorating our sight words. This week we raided the craft closet and pulled out the Christmas glitter:)

Audrey wanted to color her Word Family Coloring Page with chalk. Hey, if it keeps her interested, I’m happy:)

Once again Audrey insisted on painting her Read it, Trace it, Paste it pages…
She worked with her CVC cards, but only with the dry erase markers this time.
Crack the Sight Word Code was another BIG hit…
Circle the correct CVC word. Audrey did this activity SO quickly!! The simple CVC repetition is really helping her read more fluidly!
She read her -op and -ug family minibooks.
Word Family word sort was a delight because it had polka dot balloons:)
I had Audrey up-level her word slide practice by writing the words she made from the -ug and -ot word families onto her mini whiteboard.
The original word picture match was switched out for this new version! First trace the CVC word and then match the picture on top.
I added two new word family flowers in PURPLE!! I think they are super cute:)

I just found your Ready 2 Read materials yesterday. I'm so excited to use them with my four year old son this summer. I'm very impressed with your daughter's handwriting skills. My little boy needs a lot more practice in that area.

Just wanted to acknowledge publicly how awesome I think your Ready2Read units are. Moreover, I thank God for your giving and willing spirit. You must know the number of lives you are impacting. I have worked through Unit 4 with my 4 year old nephew. We are in awe of the progress he is making. We really enjoyed the new version of the word match. Of course, I am looking forward to Unit 5.

Thank you so much for these! I have a laminating question for you – do you cut things out and then laminate or do you laminate first and then cut out (like the apples in the first unit, for example)?

Hi, I bought the entire ready to read bundle but i am having trouble printing them. I’m certain it’s not my computer as I am able to print everything else i need. Is there something i need to do for the bundle to print? Please help

I am so sorry you are having trouble printing. There are a few things you can try:
You may just need to update your Adobe Reader. If you close the file, update Adobe and then reopen the file to print, that may do the trick. Here is a link if you need it: https://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO
