There are a total of 5 types of books:
LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THE ALPHABET BOOKS:
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE ALPHABET BOOKS?
Rainbow Write page – This page allows students to trace the upper and lowercase letters in proper formation. Numbers will guide students as they use their crayons to practice tracing the letter.
Roll and Trace – For this page, students roll a die and trace a letter in the row that matches their roll. Students continue rolling and tracing until all letters have been traced on the page.
Letter Identification – Students create a color code and circle or dab the uppercase and lowercase letters with the correct colors. The variety of fonts allows students to identify letters in different printed and published styles.
Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Mazes – Students dab or color the boxes that have the correct uppercase or lowercase letter from start to end.
Coloring Apples– Students use the color code to color the upper and lowercase letter apples on the tree.
Trace it– Students trace and write upper and lowercase letters.
Read and Color– Students color the upper and lowercase letters in each simple sentence. Each sentence includes a picture clue and a predictable pattern.
WORD FAMILY BOOKS:
These foldable books allow students to practice a variety of skills with each CVC word family!
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE WORD FAMILY BOOKS?
Word Families Included:
-ab, -ad, -ag, -am, -an, -ap, -at, -ed, -en, -et, -id, -ig, -in, -ip, -it, -ob, -od, -og, -op, -ot, -ub, -ug, and -um words.
CVC Scramble– This page allows students to unscramble and write simple CVC words within the specified word family.
Roll and Read – For this page, students roll a die and read the word family words. Each time they read the words in the row, they color a star.
Word Identification– Students color the circle that has the word that matches the picture.
Word Family Maze – Students dab or color the boxes that have the correct word family word from start to finish.
Real or Silly Words– Students use the color code to color the circle for real and silly words.
Color by Code– Students use the word family picture color code to color the picture.
CVC Word Search– Students write the word for each picture and then find the words in the word search.
Read and Highlight– Students read the simple word family story and highlight the word family words.
NUMBERS 1-20 BOOKS:
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE NUMBER BOOKS?
Rainbow Write page – This page allows students to trace each number. Students use their crayons to practice tracing with rainbow colors.
Find and Color – For this page, students count the items in each box and color the squares that show the correct number of items.
Number Identification – Students circle the correct number in the box. The variety of fonts allows students to identify numbers in different printed and published styles.
Number Maze – Students dab or color the boxes that have the correct number from start to finish.
Ten Frame it – Students show the correct number on the ten frame and then practice writing the number.
Adding Apples– Students draw the correct number of apples on the tree.
Rainbow Color– Students rainbow color the number word and trace the number word.
Read and Color– Students read each predictable sentence and color the number word.
SHAPE BOOKS:
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE SHAPE BOOKS?
Shapes Included: Circle, Oval, Square, Triangle, Diamond, Rhombus, Star, Heart, Pentagon, Hexagon, Octagon, Trapezoid
Draw a Shape– This page allows students to see the shape, trace the shape, connect the dots, and draw the shape. Students are also required to identify the number of sides and corners in each shape.
Roll and Trace – For this page, students roll a die and trace a shape. They continue rolling and playing until all shapes have been traced.
Color By Code– Students create a color code and color the picture.
Shape Maze – Students dab or color the specified shape from start to finish.
Silly Shapes– Students color a thumbs up or thumbs down to show if the item is the specified shape.
Spell it– Students write the missing letters for the shape name.
Color it– Students color the pictures that have the specified shape.
Read and Color– Students read the simple sentence and highlight the shape word.
3D SHAPE BOOKS:
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE NUMBER BOOKS?
Shapes Included: sphere, cube, cylinder, pyramid, cone, rectangular prism and triangular prism
Draw a Shape– This page allows students to see the shape, trace the shape, connect the dots, and draw the shape. Students are also required to identify the number of sides, edges and corners in each shape.
Roll and Trace – For this page, students roll a die and trace a shape. They continue rolling and playing until all shapes have been traced.
Color By Code– Students create a color code and color the picture.
Shape Maze – Students dab or color the specified shape from start to finish.
Fun Shapes– Students color a thumbs up or thumbs down to show if the item is the specified shape.
Spell it– Students write the missing letters for the shape name.
