How to Effectively Teach 113 Different Word Families!

As we prepare for the new school year, reading fluency is high on my list!  I wanted to create some engaging, hands-on and effective resources that would make learning how to read EXCITING and FUN!  I am thrilled with our newest Word Family Slides with Sentences packet!

This massive packet works with 113 different word families!
Each word family allows students to read words with the slides, put the words in context with a simple sentence, and box up the words based on their shape.
These activities helps students with decoding, fluency and spelling!

 I printed the slides on colored cardstock.
Each slide has a corresponding number that matches the simple sentences.
Students will slide the word slide, fill in the sentence, read the sentence and box up the words!For the -ap family word slide set our sentence is:

Box up the words on the word slides based on the size of the boxes.
This simple word slide sheet allowed us to practice reading 5 words on the slides, use the words in context and box up the words based on shape.

Each slide has 5 sentences to practice reading fluency.
That makes 565 simple sentences that work with 113 word families!
