I am SUPER excited about a new line of resources that make learning to read and write FUN! The Moffatt Girls are ALWAYS asking me to print them a coloring page. So…I decided to make a Color by Word Family (Summer Edition) NO PREP Coloring Book! Color and learn? Yes, please! This is learning at its BEST, especially if you ask the Moffatt Girls!
I took printed the pages front to back and headed off to Staples to have the coloring book bound. It cost me a couple of dollars, but they are all in one place and ready to go! You could probably staple them as well.
I LOVE that it incorporates reading, coloring and WRITING!
This Color by Word Family (Summer Edition) NO PREP packet works with 60 DIFFERENT word families, which makes it perfect for K-2 students! There are simple CVC words and more complex word families!
This Summer Color by Word Family coloring page is BEGGING to be colored! The girls have asked me if they can have it now, but I am making them wait until summer! 🙂
Each page works with 3 or more word families at a time
On the left side there is a “Color by Word Family” coloring page with a color code for the word families.
On the right side is a corresponding “Record a Word Family” page. This is where students read and write the words from the coloring page. At the bottom of the page, students can write up to 3 sentences from their word family lists.
