We just finished releasing our CCVC Packet! Once kids have mastered simple CVC words, they can move on to blends and digraphs. I know that the Moffatt Girls learn best with a lot of hands-on interaction, so I wanted to make a CCVC pack that had just that…tons of FUN learning! The best part is that this pack is easy on the ink;)
This CCVC has 3 different components to it and the first part is the Cut and Paste Words. This activity allows students to look at a picture and then build the word with letter tiles. Of course they get to color the pictures too!
The next component in the CCVC pack is the Book of Words. There are 10 little mini-books that students can cut and assemble. The Book of Words requires the students to look at the picture and then color in the correct word that matches the picture. Each word will begin with the same blend or digraph, which really encourages the student to sound out each letter.
Finally, this Word and Picture Match activity allows students to sort words and pictures under the correct blend or digraph. This activity will require students to listen for the correct blend or digraph and sound out each word.
When students are able to interact with a learning experience in a variety of ways, they are more likely to grasp the learning concept AND enjoy the activity!
This packet includes the following CCVC blends or digraphs:
cl, cr, dr, fl, pl, sh, sl, sp, st and sw.
