I wanted to create a packet that would make learning color words FUN, so I created The Ultimate Color Word Packet! I specifically designed this packet to meet the needs of all 3 types of learnings: kinesthetic, auditory, and visual. This packet includes 3 activities for each of the most popular color words! Since most students learn from all 3 styles, this packet makes it easy to master the content!
Color Word Watches- There is a color word on each watch. The BEST part about the color word watches is that kids can wear them all day long and refer back to the word! This is great for both your kinesthetic and visual learners.
Color Word Posters- My kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to sing! I think most kids like to sing:) I created 11 posters to match the 11 color words. Kids will sing and spell their color words to the tune of the most popular nursery rhymes. Although Audrey knows how to read her color words, she can’t always spell them. We worked with the color purple and she has it down PERFECTLY because of the song. Auditory learners will LOVE this one!
Color Word Headbands- LOVE this one! The color word headband have the color word spelled out with crayons. The students also have an opportunity to color in their color words on the headbands, trace the color word and color in two objects that are associated with that specific color. This also helps to meet the needs of your visual and kinesthetic learners.
This packet is working wonders, especially with Sophia! Both girls are singing the song in the car, around home and it is really sticking:) I like that they can work on identifying the word, spelling the word and reading it!
