Happy 4th of July! One year ago today, I released my first product on Teachers Pay Teachers, Break the Sight Word Code (Pre-Primer Edition). One year later I am FINALLY releasing my Break the Sight Word Code Primer Edition! What took me so long??
I LOVE this product because Audrey thinks it is so much FUN! When you combine FUN with learning and meeting Common Core Standards…it doesn’t get much better than that!
30 pages of Break the Sight Word Code sheets!
I designed this product to work with only sight words, simple cvc words and picture clues on the page.
Also, each of the alphabet letters corresponds with pictures that have the same beginning phonics sound as the letter. For example, the /a/ in apple, which is a great way to help with decoding/spelling the CVC words or sight words that are phonetically decodable.
Great for:
*Daily 5
*Literacy Centers
*Morning Work
*Assessments in knowing/reading sight words
*Effective Time Fillers
*Homework
The added bonus is that kids also get to color them in too!
