My HUGE Summer Project

I have a HUGE summer project in store…I plan to turn our 250 square foot office into a classroom for the girls. I have a lot of planning, organizing and a bit of remodeling in mind.
Let me start by showing you some pictures of our current office. I will probably be changing the paint color by I am not sure what color we will be using. Any suggestions?
Our bird, Doo-Doo, needs to go. Not GO, but just find a place elsewhere in the house. The bird makes a mess of his birdseed and I can see him being a distraction to the girls:)
We have two large desks that take up most of the space. These need to be removed and replaced with fun and functional items so we can utilize the space to our advantage.
Love the view we have from the office, but it takes up too much wall space. This slider will be replaced with a regular-sized door (hopefully). I do like the fact that I can open the door and say, “Recess!”

Oh the inspiration pics look awesome!! I'm sure your new little classroom will be awesome when you're done! Yeah, your closet looks so neat! It does feel good to purge! I need to get motivated to do that not only in my school classroom but home closets as well:)
4th Grade Frolics
Classroom makeover, I love it. Go with a light color with accents of butterflies for the girls. Since the classroom is for the girls, ask the girls what color and make it a family project for the summer

I know what colors they would want…PINK and PURPLE:) However, I don't think I could live with those colors:) LOL!
I LOVE the inspiration pictures. I love IKEA too! I think we will be changing our room up a bit too as the Director needs more space, the little tables are just too little, but I don't think I can quite do the table as show in those pictures. I look forward to seeing your progress!
I don't think so eirther. What about peach or yellow.

One word….IKEA!
Those desk in your inspiration room are from Ikea. The shelves? Not sure but the cube shelves are excellent for storing books as well as baskets. The magazine files way up on top, those are Ikea too. If you need drawers, the Trofast system is amazing.
As for color on the wall, I love a yellow that is just a shade past butter. It looks great with any accent color. We have apple green and red. Good luck! I can't wait to see the finished product.

It is going to be sooo nice! I wish we could have a classroom but I need all the bedroom space right now for my kiddos.
Okay, my vote is for yellow. A pale yellow, not very loud or bright. Yellow is the happiest color of all so that it why my bedroom and bathroom have been yellow for 15 years (in multiple homes)so I can wake up each morning happy. 🙂

I suggest painting it some form of blue…. then it is always a great background for any bulletin boards you put up. Plus, blue is a peaceful color.
