Learning the 50 States!

Kids can learn almost anything when you put their learning into a song! We are gearing up to learn the 50 states and I had to share this fun video with you.
It is always a good thing to encourage kids to work their brain with a little memorization. We have been practicing the 50 Nifty United States song for about 2 weeks now and we almost have it! Even the 3 year old has learned it…well at least up to Nevada 🙂

Aww…thanks for leaving the sweet comment Susan!
That is the BEST song! Our 5th grade performs it at our award's assembly and it is always so catchy! The easiest way to learn those states!
Your girls are just too cute for words!

I loved the little Moffat Girls version the BEST! Too cute!
I think is my favorite too, Graciegirl 😉
Thanks for the sweet comment!
I think I need to learn the 50 states!!! 🙂
SO VERY CUTE!!! I watched your girls twice and then even got my husband to watch it with me.
BTW my kitchen-remodeling husband says he really likes your cabinets in the background. What? Only he would notice that. I couldn't focus on anything but those darling faces! Just imagine how I feel when we go anywhere! He is always scoping out the cabinets and countertops. Ha!!!
I agree – putting information into a song is the easiest way to learn it. Adorable video! Renee
Ok – how stinkin cute are your girls?? sorry but I just had to say it :0)
I love using songs – makes anything hard easier and fun!

Fifty Nifty! My all time favorite song to teach, EVER. The first time I heard this song was when my oldest was in 2nd grade (she is 20 now) and they had a huge Patriotic Production. Her class sang this song, I actually have it on video! There was choreography, sparklers, and red, white, and blue. I wasn't a teacher yet, but as soon as I got my own classroom the singing began. We watch the video and sing it everyday for a few months, they just love it!

Wow…Fifty Nifty…Okay is it horrible if I say I remember singing that song in 4th and 5th grade?! I still to this day sing that song in my head when I'm trying to remember the order of the states. Sigh…It never leaves you! 🙂
