How to Avoid the Summer Slide!
Summer is right around the corner! We all LOVE our summer vacation, but not the “Summer Slide!” The Summer Review Packets are exactly what you need to avoid the summer slide. According to Oxford Learning, check out these summer statistics:
I have created some NO PREP Summer Review packets to help make learning FUN and engaging all summer long!
I bought some new glitter crayons, twistable colored pencils and a mini pencil box to store the scissors, glue stick, pencil and die.

NO PREP READING COMPREHENSION Passages/Stories for SUMMER includes 40 simple (a mix of fiction and non-fiction) stories/passages to help with fluency, comprehension, and building reading confidence for a Summer Review! These Comprehension Checks can be used during the summer with 1st Grade students, struggling 2nd Grade students, or as a beginning of the year review for 2nd Graders! There are 3 Accountability Stars at the top of the page. Students can color a star each time they read a story. This ensures that they are reading the story at least 3 times to encourage fluency. After completing the Comprehension Check, students can color a star on the Reading Comprehension and Fluency Tracker. Each passage/story will have Comprehension Checks with 5 Comprehension Questions. These simple comprehension questions provide students with an opportunity to look back at the text and use complete sentences. This option is more effective than the “fill in the bubble” method. In addition, students will use the color code to look back in the text (text evidence) and highlight the answers.

Our writing has blossomed since we started using these Journal Prompts! In fact, the littlest Moffat Girl (Kindergarten) begs to do at least 2 a day. I can’t keep up production!
I will also be using these this coming school year for 1st Grade.

Hi!
Getting ready to purchase one of your review prep packs and want to make sure I'm getting the right one. My son just finished Kindergarten and will be going in to 1st grade… so I should purchase the Kindergarten pack since its a review of what he's learned? Just making sure I wasn't supposed to buy 1st grade instead.
Soooo happy to have found your shop!!

I love your products for home learning! I have a second grader who is in GT, would you suggest getting the 3rd grade packet or second grade? His teachers are not helpful and the district curriculum is lacking.
